The Juggernauts seek to maintain momentum when they face The Blues at the Kanteerava.

Odisha FC will look to maintain their winning momentum when they face eighth-placed Bengaluru FC in their upcoming fixture of the Indian Super League (ISL) season.

The Juggernauts will play an away game after playing at home in the last two matches. The kick-off is scheduled at 17:30 IST at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.

Battle for Redemption

Odisha FC had a convincing 3-1 win over East Bengal in their last fixture. However, they bagged only four points from the previous five games.

The team drew against ATK Mohun Bagan but fell short against FC Goa. OFC also lost against top contenders Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters.

The Juggernauts will leave no stone unturned to gain points when they face The Blues next. Currently placed at the fifth position in the standings, Odisha FC has clocked 22 points from 13 games, where they won 7 matches and drew 1.

The return of Soosairaj, one of the key members on the flanks, is a positive note. He started training after a long layoff since the Durand Cup. Isak Ralte, who was out with injury, has rejoined the team after being injured for a long time.

BFC, the champions of the 2018-19 edition, have had a sloppy season thus far. The club has bagged 13 points from 13 games, having won 4 matches and drawn 1.

However, a threat looms when OFC faces Javier Hernandez, who has signed for The Blues this season. Javier was the best performer for Odisha FC the last year and has had an impeccable season. The midfielder netted four goals and an assist.

In the first leg, Odisha won by a solitary goal against Bengaluru courtesy of Nandha.

In form Diego Mauricio - The Brazilian Powerhouse

The 31-year-old has been instrumental in the previous fixture against East Bengal. Diego scored four goals in the last two matches, netting a brace each. The Brazilian forward has had 11 goal contributions throughout the season, the fourth-highest in the league so far.

Diego Mauricio first joined OFC during the 2020-21 season and scored 12 goals in his debut ISL calendar. He had stints in Qatar during the start of the 2021-22 football season and represented Mumbai City FC at the end.

After his homecoming, Diego has leveled up his form up front. He has 7 goals and 4 assists to his name and looks to further add to the tally.

Josep spoke about Diego when he addressed the media at the pre-match press conference earlier today:

Diego is our top in-form player currently. I like the hunger that he shows on the pitch. He was upset with me when I subbed him off in the last game which shows how hungry he is to perform and contribute to the team.

Probable XI:

Amrinder Singh (1) Narender Gahlot (3) Osama Malik (6)
Carlos Delgado (5) Denechandra Meitei (30) Thoiba Singh (24) Raynier Fernandes (10) Saul Crespo (21)
Jerry Mawihmingthanga (17) Diego Mauricio (9) Nandhakumar Sekar (11)

Where to watch:

The game will be telecasted live on the Star Sports Network and live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar, and Jio TV.
