Odisha FC announced the signing of Diego Mauricio for the upcoming season.

Diego Mauricio is the third foreign signing that the Juggernauts have announced. Carlos Delgado and Osama Malik are the other two that have been added to the foreign roster.

This will be the Brazilian's second stint with Odisha FC. Known to be explosive in front of goal and his close-control dribbling abilities, Diego played 20 games for the Juggernauts last time out. He garnered over 1600 minutes of game time with the Kalinga Warriors.

Mauricio scored 12 goals and had 2 assists to his name in his first season with Odisha FC. He made 452 passes averaging 22.6 passes per game and had a total of 589 touches all spread across the pitch. Diego is OFC's all-time leading top scorer as he was in the race for the Golden Boot along with Igor Angulo and Roy Krishna.

Head Coach, Josep Gombau expressed his delight at Diego's announcement, "I am so happy to welcome him (Diego) back to Odisha. He is a player who has already proven his quality in India, scoring goals for Odisha FC and Mumbai City FC. I think that Diego is a very big addition to our squad. I wish him all the best for the new season and I am sure with Diego's hard work, we'll have a scoring flair in our team."
