ATKMB drew first blood early on in the game in under three minutes when Manvir's deflected cross found Petratos who made no mistake in slotting it home. Amrinder denied Manvir the opportunity to score a second just right after.
15 minutes into the first half, Kaith's was pressured into a bad first touch which found Saul coming very close to restoring parity for the visitors. The custodian did just enough to clear the ball away right in the nick of time. The possession in the first half was even for both sides. 37 minutes into the game Nandha cut inside from the left flank and attempted a long ranger which was comfortably collected by Vishal.
Early on in the second half, Isaac picked out Carlos at the far post from a corner but the Spaniard's optimistic attempt went over the bar. It was an absolutely cagey affair till the 80th minute when Ashish Rai played the ball cross across the face of the goal and Petratos had an easy tap in extending ATKMB's lead to two goals.
The Eastern Dragons head to Chennai next to take on CFC on 2nd February.
