Odisha FC took on ATK Mohun Bagan in their first Hero ISL Playoffs Qualifier in Kolkata. The game was a do-or-die encounter for both sides, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.

The match began with both teams showing a lot of aggression and intent. Odisha FC took the early initiative and dominated possession in the opening minutes. They were able to create multiple opportunities but were not able to capitalize.

Odisha FC slowly grew into the game and started creating their own chances. However, Diego found himself through on goal courtesy of a deft Victor through-ball but the Brazilian failed to score as he skied his attempt.

At the 35-minute mark, Amrinder made a comfortable save to deny Petratos which resulted in a corner. A quickly taken corner resulted in Boumous handing the hosts the lead.

In the second half, Josep's men came out stronger as Jerry found a sliver of an opportunity off Diego's header but couldn't test the ATKMB custodian. In the 60th minute, Carl McHugh won the ball off Isaac resulting in Hugo picking it up and rolling it to Petratos who then finished it off for the Mariners.

Odisha FC tried to mount a comeback but was unable to find the back of the goal. ATK Mohun Bagan's defense stood firm and kept them at bay.

With this victory, ATK Mohun Bagan advanced to the sem-finals of the Hero ISL, where they will face Hyderabad FC. On the other side Bengaluru FC will take on Mumbai City FC.
