Odisha FC successfully concluded its Junior Juggernauts Baby League initiative in collaboration with Reliance Foundation & Pro Sport Development last weekend.

The league invited young kids to participate in a Baby league system with three different age categories, namely U-9, U-10, and U-12. The baby league was a 6 week-long tournament held at Benna Bharati School ground, Bharatpur, and Khandagiri.

The primary objective of the Baby League was to provide kids an opportunity to play football and develop an interest in the game. The league commenced on April 9th, marking its inaugural matchday, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 24 teams across all age categories.

The U-9 and U-10 categories played their matches in a 5v5 format, while the U12 category played a 7v7 format. There were eight teams in each age group category with each team playing 21 games over the course of the tournament.

The league saw a participation of 140 kids from different schools in Bhubaneswar. The matches were held on weekends to ensure maximum engagement. OFC concluded its final stage on 14th May 2023.

Further, to promote grassroots development, Odisha FC has joined hands with Reliance Foundation and Pro Sport Development (PSD). The club and the Reliance Foundation will continue working together and help spread the game across the local community.
