MCFC breach Odisha FC’s fortress.

The first half of the game had a good tempo throughout as both the teams got very few chances to beat the custodians.

Just before half-time, Jerry perfectly controlled the ball from a diagonal pass by Nandha but Jerry's cross went straight to the keeper. Nandha found himself one-on-one with Phurba Lachenpa but saw his snap-shot saved.

MCFC had more possession but was left frustrated by a tight OFC defense. Delgado and Narender were impressive at the back as the Spaniard made a great goal-line clearance off Bipin's shot.

HALF TIME: OFC 0-0 MCFC

Early in the second-half OFC created more chances in the final third but in the 56th minute, Lallianzuala Chhangte found the back of the net and gave the visitors a one-goal lead. Diego and Victor's brilliant combination play saw the Brazilian bringing the Juggernauts on level terms. Bipin Singh slotted the ball into the net in the 69th minute to restore MCFC's lead once again.

75 minutes into the game, Josep Gombau brought in Pedro Martin for Isaac Chuuakchhuak. The Islanders extended their lead through Chhangte after the winger forced Amrinder to come out of the box resulting in an unlucky attempt to clear the ball as it found the winger again who slotted it into an empty net.

MCFC scored their fourth goal late in the second half when Chhangte dribbled past Sahil to find Alberto at the end of his square pass who comfortably put it at the back of the net.

Diego was hungry for more as the man from Rio added to his goal tally with another sprinkle of Brazilian magic. A loose ball on the edge of the box was blasted into the top left corner of the net by Mauricio leaving Phurba with no chance to get his fingertips to it reducing OFC's deficit.

FULL TIME: OFC 2-4 MCFC

As part of the OFC Ambassadors Programme, the club had invited Padma Shri awardee “Shri. Pramod Bhagat” to the game. He was felicitated with a jersey by midfielder, Saul Crespo.

The Juggernauts remain in the 6th place on the points table and take on East Bengal FC at home on 7th January.
