CVL Remtluanga, also known as Chhangte Junior, is currently one of the brightest prospects in Indian football. He impressed the OFC coaching staff during the pre-season and earned a place in the senior team ahead of the eighth edition of Hero ISL. Speaking to the OFC Media Team, he discussed about his brother and India international Lallianzuala Chhangte and a lot more. Here are the excerpts:

Love for football

Chhangte Jr: Since my childhood, I fell in love with the game. I always tried hard to become a professional footballer because football has taught me that you can overcome anything. 

Childhood role model

Chhangte Jr: Neymar is my childhood role model because of his confidence. It is the most important aspect of the game.

Biggest inspiration

Chhangte Jr: My family has been my biggest inspiration in life. They always have supported me. Especially, my brother – Lallianzuala Chhangte. He is the one who helped me a lot to become a footballer. He guided me and showed me the path for who I want to become and it’s not easy. He inspires me a lot.

Other Sports he follows

Chhangte Jr: I just want to become a professional footballer and don’t want to do anything else.

Aim and aspirations

Chhangte Jr: My aim is to become a successful footballer. I have many things to learn and to work on both inside and outside the pitch and I am working on that.

The biggest moment of his career so far

Chhangte Jr: I am just starting my career and this is only the beginning. The biggest moment of my football career is yet to come.
