OFC WOMEN ANNOUNCE ABTP AS HEALTH & WELLBEING PARTNERS

The Club is delighted to announce its partnership with Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance (ABTP) as 'Health & Wellbeing Partners' for the Odisha FC Women’s team.

ABTP Bhubaneswar's team of sports science experts and doctors will support the Odisha FC Women's (OFCW) team with physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology, and medical testing. These specialized functions aim to help the players reach optimal fitness and mental levels for elite level football.

As part of the partnership, ABTP will provide the OFCW players with on-field and lab-based assessments, high-performance training, injury management and prevention, and recovery services at the state-of-the-art ABTP Centre in Bhubaneswar. The aim is to enhance performance by strengthening the players' physical and mental abilities through support from experts in each field. The OFCW players have been receiving support from ABTP since the team's inception and have greatly benefited from maintaining optimal fitness levels and remaining injury-free, leading to their successful win of the Odisha Women's League campaign in December 2022.

ABTP is a unique facility for high-performance sports training and advanced rehabilitation services in India, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Its devices can assess and treat individuals with accountable data-driven protocols managed by field experts. ABTP has been instrumental in bringing global best practices to the Indian healthcare and sports ecosystem through its high-performance centers in 5 cities, serving over 20,000 medical patients and 16,000 athletes across 20 sports.

Club President Raj Athwal welcomed the partnership, saying, "We are delighted to partner with ABTP for the Odisha FC Women’s team. They have been working with our women players on their rehabilitation, recovery, S&C, and mental fitness, which has helped our players improve themselves holistically to an excellent degree. We welcome ABTP to the Odisha FC family and look forward to a long and fruitful association.:

Dr. Digpal Ranawat, Director of ABTP, expressed his pleasure about the association, saying, "ABTP is pleased to be associated with the Odisha FC Women's team. We look forward to working with the athletes and making sure they are fully prepared physically and mentally for their tournaments and strive for nothing but excellence."
