Head Coach Josep Gombau & defender Shubham Sarangi attended the pre-match press conference at the Mumbai Football Arena ahead of #MCFCOFC.

Josep held his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon after the Juggernauts traveled to Mumbai from Jamshedpur for their second away game of the season. Odisha FC enters Saturday's fixture looking to record consecutive victories, following the win on the road at the furnace on Tuesday, and Josep is looking forward to locking horns with Des Buckingham on the touchline tomorrow.

You can read some of the questions asked in Josep's media briefing below:

Coming off a thrilling victory against Jamshedpur FC with two late goals. How important is this victory for your momentum going into the season?

"Yes we started the league well against Jamshedpur FC and we have come here knowing that we face a very good side. MCFC has a very strong group of players and we have come here with the aim of winning this game as well. I think that the game will be very equal with both sides wanting to play attacking football."

Your last game was a 3-2 win and Mumbai, on the other hand, drew 3-3, so last year Des Buckingham said that he wants to score one more goal than his opponent and he is okay with it. Do you share the same philosophy?

"Of course, we are an attacking side and we have an attacking mentality. I'd rather win 5-4 than 1-0. As coaches, we have the responsibility to entertain the fans who come to the stadium. Football in India is not the number one sport so we need people who come to see our games to enjoy themselves and come back again. MCFC has the same philosophy within the City Football Group as well. All the franchises that are under the CFG brand play with similar ideologies and principles."

It will be a homecoming for two of your players - Amrinder & Raynier who were a part of the Mumbai setup before. Can you explain the reason behind getting Amrinder to solidify your backline?

"We have three players who were a part of MCFC before - Raynier, Amrinder & Diego. They are excited and want to prove themselves against their former side. About Amrinder, the keeper we had before the DurandCup left as he had an offer and the club received a transfer fee for the move. We had a spot available and we got the opportunity to sign Amrinder. He doesn't need an introduction and is one of the best keepers in India."

Shubham

You face a team tomorrow that possesses a lot of threats. Most of their goals come from their midfield through the likes of Noguera, Jahouh & Stewart, as a defender how will you be dealing with it?

"We have a plan set aside to deal with these threats. We know how to defend them and how to attack them. The boys have the work cut out for them and we will definitely give them a tough fight. As you said they have good midfielders and we need to respect them but we will give our best to get all three points against MCFC.
